University of Adelaide Ashok Khurana Scholarship for Indian Students is established by Professor Ashok Khurana to help outstanding Indian students at the postgraduate education level.

The scholarship amount is $30,000, and it covers the recipient’s airfares, living expenses, and tuition fees. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a 50% discount in tuition fees for the duration of their programs.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Indian nationals and not currently studying in Australia and/or residing in Australia.

Candidates must be enrolled in the University of Adelaide for a postgraduate coursework study leading to a Master’s Degree, or equivalent.

Candidates must major in areas that are of benefit to the people of India such as Education, Agriculture, Health Services, Clean Technology, Environment, Aerospace, and Resources (excluding studies related to the Military or Defence).

Indian Students applying for the University of Adelaide Ashok Khurana Scholarship should be able to demonstrate leadership potentials.

Selection is based on academic excellence and leadership qualities.

2. India Global Leaders Scholarship

Full-tuition international scholarships for Indian students studying a

India Global Leaders Scholarship is awarded to students from India studying a coursework master’s degree or undergraduate degree in the faculty of Business, Economics, and Law at the University of Queensland in Australia (excluding the MBAs).

Eligibility for the India Global Leaders Scholarship

Candidates must be citizens and residents in India and are not already undertaking any study in Australia. However, students studying English language courses/programs in Australia are still eligible to apply.

This scholarship is for students who have already received an offer to study a coursework degree program both at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Currently enrolled UQ students are not eligible.

To qualify, candidates must demonstrate a high level of academic excellence. Therefore, high achieving students in India are encouraged to apply.

Note: Applicants must not simultaneously hold another scholarship for tuition fees.

Award value

The India Global Leaders Scholarship award is valued at between $5000 and $20,000. The awarded amount to any successful candidate is determined by the selection committee.

3. University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) Future of Change India Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Indian citizen, and currently living in India.
  • Candidates must have received an offer of admission into a UNSW degree program. 
  • Candidates need to achieved certain academic result specified in their admission application.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who apply for term 3 at UNSW.

Note: Successful applicants must accept the scholarship offer within two weeks of receiving it.

Required Documents

For Undergraduate Students: All India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE) a minimum of 1 point over the academic entry requirement, Indian School Certificate (ISC) a minimum of 2 points, International Baccalaureate (IB) – at least 2 points, and GCE A-Levels – at least 1 points are required.

For Postgraduate Aspirants: A recognized bachelor’s degree in India with a minimum grade equivalent to a UNSW GPA of 70 is required to qualify for this scholarship.

All applicants are encouraged to submit a digital copy of a video testimonial on “how an award at UNSW will help them achieve their aspirations.”

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship award is $5,000 per year for the minimum duration of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at the UNSW.

4. University of Queensland Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships 

The University of Queensland Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships, managed by the Malaysian Australian Alumni Council (MAAC) is open to students from India or Latin America to undertake coursework-based postgraduate study in biology-related subjects.

Scholarship award: $15,000

Scholarship type: Postgraduate Coursework and/or undergraduate coursework.
